14 Day Natural Food Detox Diet

I’ve looked into several different detox diets, and with a goal to just CLEAN things out without weight loss, I have a lot of options! With my completely Google educated views of detox, I’ve created my own challenge.My main problem, because I do eat very healthy foods, is my beverage choice, and pace with which I EAT. (Barely anything all day, HUGE dinner and snacking at night)

Detox Diet

Step ONE: Replace Soda’s and Juice’s with cleansing fluids.

1. Detox Diet Drink: Lemon Cucumber Water

Natural Detox Diet DrinkCut a few slices of cucumber and a few slices of lemon, drop into a pitcher of ice water and let soak for 30 minutes or more.

Lemons are a digestive aid and liver cleanser, and contain strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers. Check out this Anti-Acne Lemon Tip too! Cucumbers are about 95 percent water, helping keep the body hydrated while eliminating toxins, and have most of the vitamins the body needs in a single day! Now while everyone knows that we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water per day, I find this exceedingly difficult! I might be a baby, but I can fathom spending money on bottled water, and can’t stand the taste of “plain” water- even purified. I just need some kind of flavor, and unless I’ve just completed some kind of strenuous physical activity, plain ole’ H2O doesn’t do the trick. I find this to be a completely healthy way to add some flavor, (and when you try it you will be surprised at how MUCH flavor) and allow me to enjoy the water I need every day.

2. Detox Diet Drink: Green Tea

Seeing green tea all over the place made it obvious that it is HEALTHY, but when I went in to really investigate what the benefits are, I was fascinated! WebMD has literally pages of benefits, but these are the few that stood out to me.

Detox Diet Drink- Green Tea

  • Lowers Cholesterol
  • Prevents diabetes and stroke
  • Burns fat

Green tea’s antioxidants, called catechins, scavenge for free radicals that can damage DNA and contribute to cancer, blood clots, and atherosclerosis.

 

Step TWO: Eat regular meals

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner

Simple.

Step THREE: Concentrate on Omega-3 rich proteins

It is all very chemistry based, and the reason that Omega-3 is so beneficial includes the types of bonds between this fatty acids atoms, so I won’t even go into the details there. What you do need to know? If you want to naturally increase metabolism, all while preventing heart disease, stroke, and decreasing the aging rate, these Omega-3 rich foods are for you!

  1. Flaxseed
  2. Mustard seed
  3. Pumpkin seed
  • NUTS
  1. Walnuts
  2. Soybeans
  • VEGETABLES
  1. Cabbage
  2. Broccoli
  3. Spinach
  • SEAFOOD
